David Kraemer FHS High School Art Thank you Education
Foundation! The document camera is wonderful. Things that I used to have to
show by getting the students to "gather around," I can now show so
that all students can have a perfect view point. Dear Education Foundation, Thank you so much for the grant to purchase six microscopes and scales for our middle school science program. I have placed the new items at the 6 different lab stations in my eighth grade classroom. The students are really enjoying having these quality items to further their investigations. Becky Granneman Middle School Science Kindergarten children in a small group reading The Grouchy LadyBug by Eric Carle provided by the Education Foundation. Julie Gleason Kindergarten Washington Elementary To the Education Foundation - Thanks for funding the Solar Pathfinder during the Fall grant funding period. We finally got it delivered and will hopefully be able to use it soon. It should help students understand the potential of using solar power. I'd like to say thanks for everything the
foundation has done for the Industrial Tech department over the years.
In our department we use a lot of tools and equipment; the school
can't always fund the extras that we need. The foundation has always
been very generous and this has allowed us to buy several items that we
wouldn't have gotten otherwise. Last year the foundation bought an
oscilloscope for the electricity class so students can see AC sine
waves. This is the type of equipment they might use if they go on to
study electronics. The foundation has also purchased hydrogen fuel
cells so the Power Mech 1 class can better understand that futuristic
technology. The foundation bought a router table for the wood shop,
which gives students more options and opportunities when working on
their woodworking projects. The foundation has helped the department
update equipment and given students the opportunity to use newer,
better, equipment; the same type of equipment they would use on the job
site.
Thanks to the Education Foundation for these and all the other items the department has received over the years. Rob Mitchell FHS Industrial Technology Department"Most primary students are seated at tables, leaving limited storage for their
materials. A grant application was submitted to buy "seat sacks" such as the
ones pictured. Given a sample pattern, a member of the Education Foundation
Board decided to try making "seat sacks". Several first grade classrooms now
have a place to store their books and supplies." Fairfield Middle School, Principal Education Foundation of Fairfield Public Schools, Inc.
